Barwon Heads Primary sits on beautiful Wadawurrung country and we acknowledge the First Nations people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, work and play on. We acknowledge and pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
I’m Rob Bennetts, Principal at Barwon Heads Primary School.
Here at Barwon Heads Primary School, our goal is simple: to create a place where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to be their very best.
Not just as learners, but as young people discovering who they are in the world. Our focus is on helping students build a strong sense of belonging, a love of learning, and to build the skills they need to thrive – academically, socially and emotionally.
Every day, our team works together to develop curious, capable and caring students. Achievements – big or small – are celebrated, whether it’s in the classroom, in creative or sporting pursuits, or in the way that our students care for each other and the world around them.
As part of our coastal community on Wadawurrung land, we are proud of the role our school plays in shaping thoughtful, capable young people. Sustainability, inclusion and respect are not add-ons – they are embedded in how we learn and how we work together.
Having a young family myself, I know how important it is to find the right balance between learning, growth, and care. At Barwon Heads Primary, we are intentional about creating that balance – strong learning foundations, genuine support, and opportunities for every child to explore and develop their strengths and interests.
Welcome to our community – we’re excited to be part of your child’s journey.
